Beginning of the End

A few weeks ago, I decided to start something new. I needed something to help me (naturally) with the depression and stress of my every day and after praying for a physical "revolution," God opened my eyes to new possibilities. Running!

Now, from a couch potato to a marathon runner is a LONG process. Let me see... it's been 3 full weeks of training, (aka walking/running/huffing and puffing up hills) and I can already tell you that it's getting easier! Even though my knees hurt with every step and I walk (and run for that matter) on the outsides of my feet (supenate if you will) I can go 2 miles without using my inhaler and see some muscle definition beginning to show in my thighs! Woo Hoo!!!

Today, I had the blessing of running with my friend John. He's such an encourager and really pushes me when I lack the ability to push myself. Thanks bud. And, a bonus? Matt and Stacie made a delish dinner!

How has God blessed you today? Were you able to praise Him even when your workday sucked just because you were able to get out of bed? I hope so. If you weren't, try to tomorrow.

  1. I've been right where you are, so I know how hard it can be to keep going. The good news is that you're seeing progress.
I'm going to keep encouraging you because I enjoy the idea of having someone to run with once in a while.
